Lake in detail
- Lies between Lakes Pulemetske and Chorne Male, with the “Three Lakes” nature trail (about 8 km) running past it.
- Before the park existed it held the status of the “Lake Klymivske” zoological natural monument.
- According to the palaeobotany of V. Tymrakevych, the oldest bottom sediments of Klymivske and Lynovets formed in the Younger Dryas, making these among the most ancient water bodies of the group.
- Oval in shape, with a peaty, silted bed; the shores are low and grown over with reeds, scrub, willow and alder.
- The regional water authority and the Encyclopedia of Modern Ukraine name pike-perch, weatherfish, pike and carp directly; the remaining species would need stronger lake-specific confirmation.
- The general name “crucian carp” is matched to the native crucian carp with moderate confidence, and “catfish” to the wels catfish, but without a modern control survey.
